Overview The Ortega Foundation created the Ortega Foundation Scholarship Program to honor its founder, Jose Antonio Ortega, Sr., who believed in supporting academically strong students’ pursuit of higher education. The award targets Miami-Dade County high school seniors who have earned an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher. Award Amount Recipients may receive up to $7,000 per year for up to four years.
