Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to U.S. legal residents enrolled for the Spring 2027 semester and excludes certain individuals with close ties to the sponsoring law firm. Eligible applicants include current high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and graduate students who are legal residents of one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing. Employees of the sponsoring firm, their immediate family members, and household members are not eligible.

Award Value

Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a completed application form and four supporting items that document their qualifications and perspectives on caregiving. Required materials include a 750–1,000-word original essay responding to the prompt about the importance of compassion and acute awareness in caregiving (and societal improvements), a professional résumé listing academic and professional experience, and relevant transcripts. Essays are screened for AI-generated text; detection of AI authorship will result in disqualification. Preference in review will be given to applicants from or attending secondary school in New York, though applicants nationwide are welcome.
