Agronomy Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association
Overview
For nearly 30 years our scholarship program has helped numerous deserving high school and college students pursue majors and careers in agriculture-related fields.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating Kansas high school senior, or a current undergraduate enrolled at a Kansas 4-year university, community college, or votechnical school.
Selection criteria
- Demonstrated self-starting initiative
- Strong academic record
- Positive involvement and citizenship within school and community
- Clear motivation to continue education
Scholarships available
- Five KARA Scholarships — $2,500 each ($1,250 per semester)
- One Jim Lee Memorial Scholarship — $1,000 ($500 per semester)
- One Steve Taylor Memorial Scholarship — $500 ($250 per semester)
- One Dr. David Whitney Agronomy Memorial Scholarship — $2,500 ($1,250 per semester)

The application period for 2026–27 scholarships ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2026.
