Overview
Each year BAC grants three scholarships to students whose parent or step-parent is a US BAC Local member in good standing. Recipients receive $5,000 per year for a maximum of four years (total possible award of $20,000).
Who may apply
- Must be a high school senior planning to begin college in the fall of 2026.
- Must be the child or stepchild of a US BAC Local member who is currently in good standing.
Program administration and timeline
The US Bates Scholarship is managed by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS). Applications must be submitted by April 9, 2026. ISTS will inform applicants of the selection results in June 2026.
