Intro
The Trotter Project awards scholarships to support students pursuing careers in the foodservice and hospitality fields. Scholarships are open for the upcoming academic year to high school seniors as well as students who are about to begin or are already enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. There is no age limit — applicants may apply at any stage of their education. We’re excited to help aspiring professionals and wish every applicant the best of luck.
Who is eligible
- High school seniors, incoming college students, and current college students are all eligible to apply.
- Applicants must plan to attend (or already be attending) an accredited college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year.
- Minimum unweighted GPA requirement: 2.5.
How to apply
- Complete the entire online application form.
Required application materials
Applicants must submit the following:
- Resume that highlights community service, employment, and internships.
- Official or unofficial transcript showing cumulative GPA (weighted and/or unweighted).
- A letter of recommendation from someone able to speak to the applicant’s academic accomplishments and/or character.
- Video (maximum 3 minutes): Explain how you pursue excellence and describe your interest in culinary arts (including baking/pastry), hospitality management, or food science/agriculture. Use this as your chance to show creativity, passion, commitment, and any other strengths you want the selection committee to know.
- Current college students only: Provide documentation from your college or university that demonstrates an outstanding balance or other evidence of financial need.

All required items must be submitted to be considered. Videos should not exceed three minutes.
