Pulver Scholarships

Scholarship Sponsored by Glens Falls Foundation

Value: $8,000
Awards Available: 4
Deadline : May 15, 2024

Through a bequest of Harry Brereton Pulver, the Glens Falls Foundation provides scholarships to area students attending Dartmouth College or Harvard University as undergraduates.

The scholarships are for a maximum of four years. Applicants must be of good moral character, good academic proficiency, and have financial need. Applications may be obtained from the Glens Falls Foundation website at glensfallsfoundation.org. The application deadline is May 15.

Each scholarship awardee will be eligible to receive a minimum of $2,000 for each of four years, but the award may be greater based on the income available from the Pulver Scholarship Fund and the number of eligible candidates in any given year.  Payments will be remitted directly to the student in July.

The Pulver Scholarship Program has been established to support undergraduate students at Dartmouth College or Harvard College who are residents of Warren, Washington, or Saratoga Counties in New York State. The scholarships are designed for students who have good moral character, good academic standing, and financial need. Students are able to receive Pulver Scholarships for a maximum of four years of undergraduate study. To continue eligibility, students must provide the Foundation with a letter from the Dean stating that the applicant has successfully completed the current year. A transcript shall also be submitted in a sealed envelope directly from the college. Initial applications must be submitted by May 15 for the following academic year. While the Pulver Scholarship Program is designed for incoming freshmen, scholarships may be awarded to upperclassmen as funds allow.
