Overview
- IFDA Educational Foundation scholarships generally require a major in interior design or a related design/furnishings field unless an individual award states otherwise. Applicants do not need to be U.S. citizens, but recipients must be enrolled at a U.S. institution. All applications must be submitted in English and awards are available to undergraduate and graduate students at U.S. schools.

Important payment information
- Scholarship payments are normally issued directly to the recipient’s college or university and designated for tuition—not paid directly to the student. Individual scholarship descriptions will note any exceptions. For two- and three-year programs, an award may be remitted to the educational institution or structured as a special course rather than a cash payment. 2025 eligibility windows
- Undergraduate applicants: To be eligible for a 2025 undergraduate award you must be currently enrolled, meet the specific scholarship’s criteria, and have a graduation date no earlier than the end of the fall 2025 semester. Students who will graduate in spring or summer 2025 are not eligible.
- Graduate applicants: For 2025 graduate scholarships you must either be enrolled in a graduate program now or have an official acceptance into one for summer or fall 2025 (include a copy of the acceptance letter). You must meet the scholarship’s criteria and have a graduation date no earlier than the end of the fall 2025 semester. Students graduating in spring or summer 2025 are not eligible.

Application process and deadlines
- Applications are accepted each year beginning March 1 and must be emailed no later than March 31. Winners will be notified by July 1 unless a particular scholarship states a different notification date.
- Scholarship application forms are available via the “View” link at the end of each scholarship overview. Refer to each application form for additional submission requirements. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered by the committee.

- FBN Leaders Commemorative Scholarship — $3,000
Open to full‑time undergraduate students enrolled in an interior design or related program. Volunteer work and leadership experience will receive extra consideration.

- Part‑Time Student Scholarship — $1,500
Open to students enrolled part‑time in an interior design or related program.

- IFDA Student Member Scholarship — $2,000
Open to full‑time undergraduate students who are IFDA student members and are enrolled in an interior design or related program.

- Vercille Voss IFDA Graduate Student Scholarship — $2,000
Open to graduate students (full‑ or part‑time) currently enrolled in an interior design or related program.

- Ruth Clark Furniture Design Scholarship — $4,000
Open to undergraduate and graduate students (full‑ or part‑time) whose coursework emphasizes furniture design.

- Tricia LeVangie Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship — $1,500
Open to full‑ or part‑time undergraduate students enrolled in an interior design or related program with an interest in green/sustainable design.

- Barbara Beckmann Textile Design Scholarship — $3,000
Open to undergraduate and graduate students (full‑ or part‑time) with coursework emphasizing textile design.

- IFDA Philadelphia Scholarship — $2,500
Open to students in two‑, three‑, or four‑year interior design or related programs with a course emphasis on textile design.

- Tony Fusco Scholarship — $6,000
Open to New England residents who are full‑time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an interior design or related program.
