Overview
This award grants $25,000 to a post‑baccalaureate student pursuing advanced study in the water environment sector. Funds are intended to cover education‑related expenses.

Who May Apply
Applicants must be post‑baccalaureate students working toward graduate‑level training in the water environment field. Students entering their first year of a graduate program may apply with an official letter of acceptance.

Required Qualifications and Documents
To be considered, applicants must meet the following and submit all listed materials:

- Current membership in the Water Environment Federation (WEF) — membership must be active (not expired).
- A completed online application that includes a summary of your academic background and hands‑on experience in the environmental/water field.
- Official college or university transcripts.
- Proof of enrollment in a graduate program in the water environment field; a letter of acceptance is acceptable for incoming first‑year students.
- Three letters of recommendation. At least one recommender must be a current WEF member. Recommenders should be able to speak to the applicant’s academic performance and/or practical experience.
- A statement of degree objectives describing your career goals and intention to work in the water environment field (minimum 750 words; maximum 1,000 words). This statement must be submitted with the application.
- A commitment from scholarship recipients to work in the water environment field for two years after completing the degree.

Application Process and Additional Notes
- Complete the online application and upload all required documents, including three reference letters.
- The award is intended for education‑related costs.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for any taxes owed on the award.

WEF Membership Details
- The nominee must be a current (not expired) WEF member to be eligible.
- At least one of the three individuals providing a recommendation letter must also be a current WEF member.
