The following documents must arrive at foundation@motionpower.org from the originating source. Recommendation letters or transcripts delivered by the applicant will not be accepted.

A. Two letters of recommendation
- We suggest one letter from an employer and one from a faculty member.
- Greater consideration is given to employer letters from companies in the gear, bearing, or power transmission industries and to faculty letters from the engineering, math, or science departments.
- Recommenders must email their letters directly to foundation@motionpower.org. The sender’s email address must clearly match the name of the person who wrote the recommendation. Letters submitted by the applicant will be disregarded.

B. Official transcript(s)
- Provide an official transcript from the most recent educational institution attended (technical school, community college, university, etc.), certified by the registrar or other authorized official. Transcripts may be included with your application email or sent directly by the school.
- High school transcripts are required only for technical/associate-level applicants and for students in their first year of undergraduate study.
- Transcripts must be marked “official”; unofficial copies will not be accepted.
