About the award
The Mark Vrahas Foundation Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 award for a high school senior who has a documented reading disability.

Preferred qualities of an applicant
- Clearly explains their learning disability and demonstrates awareness of the importance of self-advocacy.
- Is committed to continuing education or career training after high school and has started to define career goals.
- Has shown resilience and determination in pursuing personal objectives despite challenges related to their learning disability.
- Is engaged in school and/or community activities.

Eligibility requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
1. Be graduating from a high school located in Pennsylvania.
2. Be in their senior year of high school at the time of application.
3. Have been accepted to a college, vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with learning disabilities.
4. Have an IEP documenting an identified learning disability.
