FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Overview
The Foundation offers a variety of scholarships and dues-assistance programs for AFWA members and students pursuing careers in accounting and finance. Below are the available awards, eligibility notes, and application links.

Scholarships and Assistance for AFWA Members
- Certification Scholarship — Download Online Application
- Provides support for the exam fees of AFWA members taking one of these credentials: CPA, CFP, CFE, CIA, CMA, or CVA.
- Applicants are individuals who have recently completed and passed all parts of the applicable exam.

- Disaster Relief Dues Reimbursement — Download Online Application
- Helps committed AFWA members cover National and Chapter membership dues if they have suffered personal hardship resulting from a natural disaster in their hometown (for example: hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes).

- National Dues Reimbursement for Unemployed Members — Download Application
- Assists devoted AFWA members with the cost of National Membership dues when they are unemployed at the time of their membership renewal.
- Eligibility: Applicants must have maintained AFWA membership for at least five consecutive years and must be actively involved in local or national leadership.

Finance and Accounting Scholarships (Application window: January 1 through April 1)
- Undergraduate Scholarships — Download Application
- Intended to help cover educational expenses for students in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year who are pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.

- Master’s Scholarships — Download Application
- Available to students enrolled in an accredited college or university master’s program in accounting or finance.

Paula Zanni Award
Each year, a select number of exceptional recipients from the Undergraduate and Master’s scholarship applicant pools are chosen to receive the prestigious Paula Zanni Award.

Membership/Endorsement
Being an AFWA member is not mandatory to apply for the finance and accounting scholarships; however, having an endorsement from an AFWA member or chapter can strengthen an application. Download Endorsement Form.
